Triumph at ESAA Cross-Country National Cup Finals
Following a great performance in the West Midlands regional round of the ESAA Cross-Country Cup competition, our Senior Boys’ team qualified for the National Final. This was the second year in succession that an RGS team has reached this stage of this fiercely contested national competition.
This year’s venue was Woodbridge School in Suffolk, which provided a testing 5.7km course on a freezing cold Saturday last weekend. The race was run at a blistering pace, and the RGS team showed great grit and determination against tough competition.
Luke Jones led the team home with a superb 11th place finish. He was well supported by other team members Dylan Teasdale, Jacob Bunyan, Noah Dunnett and Tom McMillan who can all be proud of a great team performance to finish in 26th place in the country.
