‘This Girl Can’ Campaign
RGS Worcester is supporting the Hereford and Worcester Sports Partnership ‘Worcs Girls Can’, a localised version of the national \’This Girl Can\’ campaign designed to get women and girls moving, regardless of shape, size or ability, which runs from 9 – 20 March.
‘This Girl Can’, launched in 2015, is a nationwide campaign with the vision to transform people’s lives through sport and physical activity. To achieve this they need everyone in England regardless of their age, background or level of ability to feel able to take part. ‘This Girl Can’ was born from a desire to tackle the fact that despite increases in the overall number of people being active in England, women persistently remain less active than men.
Having attended the ‘This Girl Can’ Conference in January we were inspired to deliver experiences built around an understanding of what motivates and what prevents different audiences from being active. This week\’s highlights include the Freedom Leisure Aqua class, a Rowing training session and a virtual bike class for our Year Seven girls.
