The RGS Family Raises Funds for BBC Children in Need
Today pupils from across The RGS Worcester Family of Schools enjoyed a day of raising money for BBC Children in Need.
Fundraising activities included a non-uniform day at RGS Worcester, with pupils donating £2 each to come to school in ‘mufti.’ Pupils at RGS The Grange, RGS Dodderhill and RGS Springfield also entered the fundraising spirit by dressing up. Other activities included a charity Tug-of-War in Cobham Hall between the Rugby 1st XV team and staff and a charity ‘Just Dance’ for the younger pupils. In 2021, The RGS Family of Schools raised more than £3,600 for the Charity.
Since 1980, Children in Need has raised more than £1 billion for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. BBC Children in Need is currently supporting over 2,300 local charities and projects in communities across the UK that are helping children and young people facing a range of disadvantages such as living in poverty, being disabled or ill, or experiencing distress, neglect or trauma.
Thank you to all the parents, pupils and staff who have generously donated to our fundraising efforts for BBC Children in Need this year, and we look forward to learning the final total raised for this important Charity next week.
