Rugby Taster Day of Insight and Enthusiasm
On Tuesday, we hosted our 16+ Rugby Taster Day, offering parents and pupils an insightful glimpse into the RGS Rugby programme and school life. The Taster Day commenced at Flagge Meadow with a warm welcome for all attendees.
Parents were then given a tour of the School led by our knowledgeable 1st XV Rugby students and School Prefects. These tours provided valuable insights into both the academic and extracurricular facets of RGS Worcester. For those new to the School, the tours were an excellent opportunity to acquaint themselves with our facilities and school community.
The action then shifted to Cobham Hall and the Fitness Suite for baseline testing, offering participants a firsthand experience of the physical demands and training associated with Rugby.
Following engaging discussions and physical activities, the group reconvened at Flagge Meadow for an exciting Rugby session. Led by current Senior students Dan Halkon, Archie Davies, Joe Callow, and Jake Cartwright, participants were guided through the intricacies of the sport, providing a glimpse into the passion and skill involved in Rugby.
Amidst the Rugby action, parents gained valuable insights into Sixth Form life through a talk by Head of Sixth Form Mr Mark Evetts. Refreshments were provided, and Mark shared valuable information, offering parents a better understanding of the opportunities awaiting their children as they progress through their education journey.
Thank you to everyone who participated in making the Rugby Taster Day a resounding success.
