RGS Worcester’s Season of Giving
‘Tis the season of giving and the Charity Committee at RGS Worcester encourages pupils and their families to join in the spirit of generosity by supporting three upcoming Charity events.
The Committee is asking every Form to participate in the collection of food boxes for the Worcester Food Bank. If you haven’t acquired a box yet, fret not! Mrs Sturdy and Miss Ashford have been diligently gathering them, and you can also pick up boxes from reprographics. Don’t forget to send your filled boxes to Mrs Sturdy’s office in Whiteladies by Wednesday 13 December. You can contribute non-perishable items with a good use-by date.
In the spirit of holiday cheer, the Charity Committee has organised a special screening of the Christmas film ‘Nativity’ in the Lecture Theatre from 4.00pm to 6.00pm today. We encourage attendees to make a donation to our chosen charity, The Salvation Army.
Next Friday is Christmas Jumper Day! Pupils can wear their favourite Christmas jumpers in exchange for a £1 donation to the Grace Kelley Cancer Trust. There will be a competition for the ‘best’ Christmas jumpers in the Quad during break, complete with prizes.
Let’s come together as an RGS community to make a positive impact for Charities at this time of the year. Participation in these events will bring support to those in need but also emphasise the spirit of compassion and giving amongst us all.
