RGS Worcester Students Celebrate Oxford and Cambridge Offers
We are delighted to announce that three RGS Worcester students have received offers from the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Ben Sears, Isaac McManus, and Ben Holland have all secured a place to pursue their chosen academic studies.
Ben Sears has received an offer to read Law at Cambridge, while Isaac McManus has received an offer to read Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) at Oxford, and Ben Holland has received an offer to read Fine Art at Oxford University.
Ben is completing a Foundation year after completing his A Levels at RGS last summer. He was supported in his application to Cambridge by the RGS UCAS team and the Art department.
The competition for places at both Universities is extremely intense, and the fact that all three students secured their places against a very competitive field of candidates is a testament to their high academic standards, dedication, and perseverance.
To prepare an application to Oxford or Cambridge and then complete the necessary steps – admissions test, submission of written work, interview – before a successful outcome is an intense process. Therefore, we are incredibly proud of our students and their accomplishments.
Moreover, the three students have shown that they are not only exceptional academically but are also well-rounded individuals. Ben is an outstanding dancer and actor, while Isaac is an exceptionally talented Debater. They both demonstrate how dedication to academic study can dovetail with commitment to other passions.
Ben Sears expressed his happiness, saying: “I was both thrilled and humbled to receive an offer from Cambridge to study Law after the long but rewarding application process, and I am sure it has exhausted many of us. Now I just hope I get the grades needed to take up this great opportunity”.
Similarly, Isaac McManus said: “I am over the moon to have received an offer for Oxford, and I am glad to be focusing on achieving strong results in my A Levels and enjoying my remaining time here at a school without whose support I think I would not have been granted this offer.”
We congratulate Ben, Isaac, and Ben Holland on their incredible achievements and wish them all the best for their future studies. We are proud to have such bright and multi-talented talented students at RGS Worcester!
