The Launch of The Worcesterian 2023-24
We are delighted to announce the launch of The Worcesterian, which reflects on the last academic year 2023-24. This publication celebrates the achievements and memorable moments across all areas of school life. This year, RGS Worcester achieved exceptional academic success, ranking as the top Co-educational day school in the West Midlands for A Level results. Our innovative approach to digital learning and AI received national recognition, showcasing our commitment to preparing pupils for the future.
The Arts flourished, with pupils impressing audiences through a range of performances, from intimate recitals to grand productions. The Senior musical, ‘Miss Saigon’, was a standout, earning praise for its ambition and the talent of those involved.
On the sports field, our pupils proudly represented their School, displaying skill, determination, and resilience. With expert coaching and expanded opportunities, our teams celebrated success in major fixtures, strengthening RGS Worcester’s reputation for sporting excellence. A number of pupils went on to achieve national honours in several different sports.
Beyond the classroom, pupils explored their passions by participating in over 130 clubs and societies available each week, while the House system, CCF, and the Duke of Edinburgh Awards offered invaluable opportunities for personal growth.
The RGS community’s spirit of generosity shone through in its charitable efforts. Over 2,000 items were donated to the Foodbank, and more than £150,000 was raised for bursaries during our ‘Giving Day’. Thousands of pounds were raised for local and national charities.
None of these achievements would have been possible without the dedication of our staff, the support of parents, and the encouragement of our alumni network. Above all, congratulations to our pupils for making 2023-24 such an excellent academic year!
