We have welcomed First Year students from the School of Education at the University of Worcester this term so that RGS staff can deliver a series of lectures, including about Digital Learning and Culture & Pedagogy across the Key Stages.
Over the course of five lectures, hosted in the Lecture Theatre, RGS teachers have presented to the students, giving them an insight into the impact our Digital Learning Programme makes across all four of our Schools. We also shared videos from our Early Years classrooms that showed how digital tools can be utilised with younger pupils as well as a preview into what’s next in the world of #edtech.
As well as utilising the expertise of staff, lectures also featured the expertise of our pupils too, with presentations from a number of pupils from across the RGS Worcester Family of Schools.
We hope the series of lectures has provided a useful insight and will help these ‘teachers of tomorrow’ see the impact of a positive digital culture, and the difference a meaningful digital strategy can make to teaching and learning, whilst giving the students an opportunity to develop their own digital pedagogical approaches.
