Sixth Form Mathematicians Rise to the Challenge
Earlier this term, students studying A Level Mathematics took part in the UKMT’s Senior Mathematics Challenge, where they faced 25 tough but interesting problems that tested their mathematical ingenuity. We were delighted to hear that 62 students had been awarded certificates in recognition of their strong performances, achieving 32 bronze, 23 silver and 7 gold.
Leading performances came from Lower Sixth students Jacob Hartley and Isabelle Jones, alongside Upper Sixth students Harry Barnett, Elizabeth Crookall, Tommy Suttling, Sam Taylor and Ben Fisher. The latter pair both achieved marks of over 100 out of 125 – very impressive indeed!
