RGS Worcester is on Top of the World
Mr Jones, Director of Innovation, and Mr Warne, Head of IT at RGS The Grange, have been asked to represent RGS Worcester at the Global Think Ahead Virtual iPad Education Summit on 9 and 16 July.
‘Think Ahead’ is the organisation that invited Mr Warne over to South Africa to present to their Conference earlier this year. This time, however, the Summit will be hosted virtually and the two RGS staff will be broadcasting their presentations from their own homes!
Mr Warne’s presentation is as follows: How to Swiftly Flip the classroom
A session aimed at educators using Swift who want to utilise workflow efficiency allowing pupils to work at their own pace whilst developing computational thinking concepts. Reflection is an essential element in any pupil’s journey in code and this session will suggest a range of ideas and concepts for making Swift Playgrounds your ultimate tool for coding development in the classroom and whilst remote learning.
Mr Jones will be presenting about: Remote Schooling – a simple yet successful blueprint
Learn how the sixth oldest school in the world successfully shifted and adapted to remote teaching and learning. This session will unpack and explore remote strategy as well as how they made their vision of digital learning a reality.
The fact that RGS Worcester’s IT teachers are being asked to present their experiences of remote learning to a global audience reflects the strength of the RGSW Digital Learning Programme and the Teaching and Learning that has been achieved across our schools during ‘lockdown’. Many congratulations to the IT department and good luck to Mr Jones and Mr Warne as you speak to educators around the world!
