RGS Riders Triumph at Dallas Burton
On Monday 10 April, our Intermediate Eventer Challenge team won the 90cm class at the Dallas Burton competition. The team was comprised of Ellen McGettigan, Cleo Whitbread, Lilianna Sprigg, and Hannah Darby. The victory was a result of their hard work, dedication, and team spirit, which shone through on the day.
But the RGS Riders didn’t stop there. Lily Smart also made a name for herself by winning the 80cm Novice Eventer Challenge class while riding ‘New Tricks’. Her excellent performance was a testament to her skills as a rider, and she deservedly claimed the top spot in her category.
The team’s success has earned them qualification for the Eventer Challenge National Championships at Hickstead in May. This is a major achievement, and the RGS Riders can take pride in knowing that they have earned their spot among the best riders in the country.
It’s not just in eventing that the RGS Riders excel. We already have teams and individuals competing in the show jumping competition at the National Championships. With so much talent and dedication among our riders, we can’t wait to see what they will achieve next.
Congratulations to the RGS Riders on their latest victory, and we wish them all the best for the National Championships in May!
