RGS Chemists Rise to the Challenge
Sixth Form Chemistry students took part in the annual Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. This competition aims to challenge and assess the skills of students studying A Level Chemistry from all over the country, providing a taste of University standard Chemistry work. The students faced tough problem-solving questions that covered a range of topics, including the Chemistry of Arsenic and Perfluorinated Alkyl substances found in everyday cosmetics and cooking pans.
We are delighted to announce the achievements of our students in this national competition:
Gold Award: Sam Taylor
Silver Awards: Toby Alexander, Grace Williams, Theo Mason, Michael Liu, James Evans, Henry Welsby, Charli Barlow
Copper Awards: Elizabeth Crookhall, Sofia Stolt, Tom Bowditch and Matthew Fallows.
