‘RGS 362’ Returns
Last Friday, RGS Worcester once again embraced the thrill of the RGS 362—a foot race around the School grounds, beginning and ending at Clock Block.
The annual race was established in 2013 by Mr Tim Curtis, former RGS Director of Sport and English teacher. The event sees the entire school community come together in the Quad to support pupils and staff as they take on the 362 metre challenge against the clock.
This year, the pupils represented their Houses to complete the race and then the competition spotlight shifted to our staff, as they vied for Personal Bests and coveted House Points. The Men’s race was fiercely contested, with Head of Athletics and Strength & Conditioning, Mr Ollie Biddle of Elgar House, emerging as the winner with an impressive time of 00:53.67. In the Women’s race, the Director of Drama, Mrs Jilly Witcomb, representing Ottley House, clinched victory with an impressive time of 01:24.85.
