Researching and sketching at Worcester Cathedral
Lower Sixth Art students were out and about this week, visiting various locations in Worcester, capturing the City and Worcester Cathedral’s architectural splendour through sketches and drawings. The work forms preliminary research for this term’s project following the theme of ‘Community’, which will culminate in an exhibition of artwork in the Cathedral in the new year.
Alumna Art Scholar’d Work Exhibited
Well done to Alumna Art Scholar Katie Pickersgill, whose dynamic portraiture work was selected to be exhibited in the Bromyard Arts Festival over the summer. Katie’s work was exhibited in the Art Gallery and was well received by visitors and artists.
Year Eight – Leaves of Hope
Inspired by the recent exhibition at Worcester Cathedral, ‘The Leaves of the Trees’, Year Eight pupils produced their own hand-printed leaves festooned with personal messages of hope. The cascade of positive leaves is currently being enjoyed by all that see them on display in the RGS Art Department.
