Introducing Our School Captains and Deputies for the Year Ahead
Congratulations to Bella Gray and Sam Taylor who have been appointed School Captains for the academic year 2024-25. Our School Captains and Deputy School Captains are intrinsic to the operation of RGS, delivering speeches, performing School duties, providing tours for visitors, as well as assisting staff and younger pupils. This provides effective additional support for pupils and an early interaction with older students in the School.
School Captain Bella Gray commented: “I feel extremely lucky to be a part of such an amazing school community and I couldn’t be happier to have been appointed as a School Captain for my final year. Together with the other Captains, I will look to both represent and support the student body in any way that I can. Having thoroughly enjoyed my time at RGS, it is incredible to have this opportunity to be an advocate for the school and all that it has taught me, and I can’t wait for the year ahead.”
School Captain Sam Taylor commented: “I am immensely proud and grateful to have been nominated as School Captain. Having been at the school since Springfield, I understand this position is an honour, and I’m excited to take on this responsibility and to represent the school in this way. I look forward to working with the prefects, teachers and school community, and will strive to replicate the success of last year.”
Sam and Bella will be working alongside four Deputies, Senior Prefects, eight House Captains and our Prefects, including Pastoral Prefects who support the younger Year groups.
Deputy School Captain Will Edgehill commented: “It is a privilege and an honour to be appointed as a Deputy School Captain for RGS Worcester. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to my last year with enthusiasm and great pride as we look to celebrate and communicate all of the values that have made my last seven years at RGS such a positive and memorable experience.”
Deputy School Captain Sydney Blanchenot commented: “I am so thrilled to have been chosen as a Deputy School Captain; it has always been an aspiration of mine and I hope I will be able to represent the school well, embodying all of the RGS Worcester values. This is such an amazing opportunity and privilege to have been given and I can’t wait to spend this year working hard with the other Captains.”
Deputy School Captain Katy Pitt commented: “I am very proud to have been appointed as a Deputy School Captain. I hope to be an excellent role model for pupils throughout the School, by supporting students and upholding the values which make RGS a community. Since joining RGS in Year Three, I have always felt that the School has been an integral part of my life, increasing my confidence through Co-curricular activities as well as lasting friendships, that I have gained along the way. It is an honour to have been given this opportunity and I cannot wait to take on this responsibility in my final year at RGS.”
Deputy School Captain Toby Alexander commented: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Deputy School Captain. To be given the opportunity to fulfil the role over the coming academic year is a privilege and I am very excited to represent all the students and uphold the RGS ethos. I am sure my fellow Captains and I will excel with the added responsibility, as will the rest of the Prefect body.”
Many congratulations to all on their appointments!
