House Photography: a ‘lockdown’ challenge
A new event for this term’s House competition was House Photography. Competitors had to submit three photographs which represented the theme of ‘Home’ with an accompanying sentence explaining their artistic concept. The photographs were judged by Artistic Endeavour; Composition; and Thought.
Mrs Hunt was kind enough to judge this new event and said: “I think that it should be a big well done to everyone who entered and especially those who went out of their way to take images especially for the competition and who thought carefully about subject, mood, composition and lighting. The images were diverse and so many aimed to capture what is important to them at this time.”
Mrs Hunt went through the entries from each House to look at which of them met the criteria and then identify the top entry from each House. They were then compared with the other Houses. The final results were:
1st Whiteladies (Kathryn Shaw, Year Eleven)
2nd Wylde (Isobel Hadley, Year Eight)
3rd Elgar (Honesty Shaw-Young, Lower Sixth)
4th Ottley (Darcy Nock, Year Nine)
