Hardship Fund Update
The extremely generous sum donated since April by the alumni community in support of pupils and their parents has recently been supplemented by those parents who have chosen to donate their Trinity term fee rebates to the Hardship Fund. A number of parents of the Upper Sixth Class of 2020 Leavers have also elected to donate their refundable deposit to the Foundation for the same purpose. Consequently, the Hardship Fund Appeal total currently exceeds £85,000 and is a wonderful testament to the strength of the School community in these challenging times.
Hardship grants are typically smaller one-off or occasional awards of means-tested support to help families cope with particular situations. These are outside the structure of Bursary grants which aim to provide financial support to pupils throughout their time at RGS and without which they would not be able to attend the School. The donated funds will be used exclusively for the purpose of Hardship funding and if any parents still wish to donate their fee rebate they can do so by emailing their notification to the Foundation Office (foundation@rgsw.org.uk). Donations to the Hardship Fund can also be made on the alumni website: www.rgswandaos.foundation
Thank you to everyone who has contributed in support of the RGSW community.
