We are delighted to share the fantastic news that former RGS Worcester student Alice Atkinson (2010-23) has been selected to join the GB Women’s Hockey squad. This remarkable achievement highlights her dedication and talent.
Alice completed her studies at RGS and is now studying Geography at the University of Birmingham. During her time at RGS, Alice was a prominent member of the School’s sports teams, excelling in both Hockey and Netball. In addition to representing RGS, Alice also played Hockey for Stourport, showcasing her skills at a high level.
Reflecting on her journey, Alice cites winning a Bronze medal at the Under 21 European Championships as a standout moment in her career so far. Upon receiving the news of her selection for the GB squad, Alice said, “Being a professional Hockey player has always been a dream of mine, so I am very excited to be able to train and compete at this high level and dedicate time to the sport to become the best I can be”.
Alice has already played for the GB squad in China. We are immensely proud of Alice’s accomplishments and wish her every success as she embarks on this exciting chapter of her Hockey career. We look forward to following her progress as Alice continues to inspire and make the RGS community proud.
