Year Ten Review: ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’
With theatres now welcoming audiences back safely to enjoy watching live performance, Year Ten Drama pupils were thrilled to visit the New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham last week to watch a live performance of the coming-of-age stage musical, ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’.

“Arriving at the New Alexandra Theatre was an experience in itself – the interesting interior contributed to the excitement that we were all feeling and, from the second the production started, we could all tell that it was definitely going to be a favourite.
“The contrast in upbeat and emotional songs kept us on our toes the whole time and fortunately for us, the rest of the audience was just as enthusiastic as we were! The atmosphere inside the theatre was magical, especially as it was our first time watching a live theatre performance since 2019.
“With amazing actors and phenomenal musicians to accompany, it was one of the most enjoyable performances we have experienced. One of the highlights was the incredible humour – there really was never a dull moment. It is difficult to summarise this trip in just a few words but suffice to say, it exceeded our expectations in every way. We would like to give a huge thank you to the Drama department for making this trip possible.”
