Energy, Teamwork, and Exciting Finishes in House Rowing
The annual House Indoor Rowing competition took place on Wednesday in the Performing Arts Centre, which was completely transformed for the event. The space was filled with flashing lights, rowing machines, and a big screen to track the progress of the teams. Pupils from across the School, along with staff, competed in a 1600m relay, showing incredible support for their Houses and teammates. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone displaying great teamwork and enthusiasm.
In the Lower School race, Ottley led the way, with competitors swapping in and out of the rowing machines. They won the race with Whiteladies in second, followed by Wylde in third and Elgar in fourth.
Whiteladies took the lead in the Middle School race, with Ottley in second place. Wylde finished third, and Elgar came fourth.
Ottley continued their strong performance in the Sixth Form race, finishing first, while Wylde took second, Whiteladies came third, and Elgar placed fourth.
In the staff race, Ollie Biddle posted the fastest time of 2 minutes and 47 seconds, helping Elgar take first place. Whiteladies finished second, Ottley third, and Wylde took fourth. The pupils were incredibly supportive of the staff, and Elgar took the crown in the end.
