Dan Halkon Becomes a Warrior
We are delighted to share the news that Upper Sixth student and last season’s 1st XV Rugby Captain, Dan Halkon, has recently signed to play professional Rugby with Glasgow Warriors Rugby Academy.
After strong performances during the Academy League and in the Under 18 Scotland team in their Six Nations competition in Italy, Dan demonstrated he is a player to watch for the future and the Warriors were keen to sign him. Dan is very excited to be joining them, especially since the Club was recently crowned Champions in the United Rugby Championship.
While living in Glasgow, Dan will also be studying for a Business Studies Degree at Strathclyde University. Glasgow Warriors is keen for all Academy players to continue further education and Dan will enjoy combining training with his studies.
Dan has also been training with the Scotland Under 20s squad in Edinburgh as injury cover, which has given him an excellent early insight into the physicality and fitness level required at this next level.
This is an exciting new chapter for Dan and we would like to congratulate him and wish him all the best for his future Rugby career and University studies.
