Culinary Curiosity Commences with Cookery Club
This term, RGS has teamed up with our caterers, Holroyd Howe, to launch an exciting new Cookery Club, and the first session was a resounding success! Pupils in Year Nine rolled up their sleeves, donned aprons, and immersed themselves into the art of pasta-making.
From mixing and kneading dough to using a pasta machine, they learned about different types of pasta and how to create their own from scratch. The room was soon filled with laughter, flour-covered faces, and the hum of enthusiasm as everyone got hands-on with their culinary creations.
What was the highlight? Pupils got to take their freshly made pasta home to cook for dinner, sharing their new skills (and delicious results) with their families.
This collaboration with Holroyd Howe has sparked culinary curiosity and given pupils the chance to develop practical skills in a fun, supportive environment. We look forward to many more tasty sessions ahead!
