Barnstorming Performances in Cross-Country
Last week, Year Seven Cross-Country runners had the opportunity to participate in their County Championships, held at the University of Worcester’s Lakeside campus at Top Barn. After cheering on the pupils from RGS The Grange in their races, it was time for our team members to take to the start line and tackle the 2.4km course, which wound around the fields and lake.
In the Girls’ event, Milly Palmer and Julia McKenna showed great determination and perseverance to finish in the top ten, with Jessica Weston not far behind. Meanwhile, in the Boys’ race, it was a dominant performance by RGS pupils, with Ben Bean and Oscar Hewitt demonstrating their speed and stamina to secure 1st and 2nd places, respectively, with Luca Haywood also running well.
Very well done to all of the runners! Congratulations to Milly, Ben and Oscar, who have all qualified for the Herefordshire and Worcestershire team for the National Schools’ Cross-Country finals in March.
