An Open Morning Full of Opportunity
Last Saturday, we warmly welcomed visitors to RGS Worcester for our Open Morning. Over the past two years, we have seen a significant increase in the number of families attending our Open Morning events at RGS. The feedback we received from our visitors was superb as everyone enjoyed the morning.
Throughout Open Morning, our dedicated pupils and staff were available to guide and assist prospective pupils and their parents, providing informative tours of the School and offering a wide range of activities.
The morning was filled with various activities aimed at showcasing the diverse opportunities available at RGS. Prospective parents had the opportunity to experience performances by our Junior Choir, Junior Jazz, and Intermediate Strings in the Music department. They also had the opportunity to witness the excellence of our Sports, Drama, the CCF, DofE, House competitions, and other Clubs and Societies, in addition to exploring our Academic departments. The Classics department, in particular, offered an engaging display, allowing visitors to try on Roman armour and participate in interactive games. Our award-winning Careers Department demonstrated the extensive support and future pathways available. Each department engaged attendees in interactive activities.
Our pupil speakers shared their enthusiasm for the School, and our Headmaster illustrated how pupils are happy and fulfilled and build quiet confidence by taking advantage of the incredible opportunities available, with over 130+ clubs and activities to choose from each week.
We also introduced a new and exciting activity for our younger visitors during this Open Morning: an updated version of our ‘duck trail’, featuring themed ducks for each department. We were delighted to receive positive feedback about this engaging activity, which kept our younger visitors entertained while parents and prospective pupils gained a taste of the wide-ranging opportunities at RGS Worcester, discovering what makes an RGS education special and enjoyable.
We extend our gratitude to all our visitors for joining us, as well as to our outstanding pupils, teachers, and support staff for making this event possible.
If you couldn’t attend our Open Morning last weekend or wish to visit again, we would be delighted to schedule a School day visit for you and your family. Please complete the ‘arrange a visit’ form on our website, and we will promptly get in touch to make the necessary arrangements.
