A Sporting Future: Fun at the RGS Sports Taster Morning
We welcomed many prospective new pupils from Years Five and Six from our Prep Schools’ and many other local schools, to the RGS Sports Taster Morning last Saturday, showcasing the broad range of sporting opportunities on offer at RGS Worcester.
The morning started off with an introduction from the Director of Sport, Mr Gareth Roots who explained RGS Worcester’s sporting ethos; to ensure each and every child is fulfilling their potential, as well as the RGS Charter for Sport; embracing the values of being ‘Resolute, Gracious, Selfless and Willing’.
Our young visitors then headed off to the various sports halls and facilities that RGS Worcester is fortunate to have, including the glorious Flagge Meadow, outdoor Netball courts and our innovative Fitness Suite and indoor halls.
With specialist tuition on-hand from the RGS Worcester Sports Department, as well as guidance from the Schools Sporting Ambassadors; Sports Captains, Prefects and Athlete Development Students, visitors were able to participate and nurture their skills in Rugby, Football, Netball and Hockey and Strength and Conditioning.
A fabulous morning was had by all. Thank you to all those families who attended, for sharing their enthusiasm for Sport and helping make the morning such an enjoyable and fun event.
