100% Success for Future RGS Medics, Dentists and Vets
We are delighted to share that, for the second year running, 100% of Upper Sixth applicants have received offers for Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science. This is an impressive achievement, considering the challenging application process and highly competitive nature of these courses.
Last year, there were 24,150 applicants for 7,500 places in medical schools across the UK. While the government recognised the need for more doctors and made an additional 205 places available this year, the numbers are still daunting for applicants concerned about whether they will be offered a place. RGS students have shown great determination from the very beginning, and it is wonderful that all their hard work has been rewarded.
Our two-year Enrichment programme for prospective Medics, Dentists and Vets is designed to help students navigate the application process, with modules focussing on the UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test), personal statements, and interviews. Additionally, we run a Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) with the Drama Department, supplying actors to put the students through the role-play questions. While it is a supportive programme, the students’ own hard work is the key to them realising their aspirations and dreams for these challenging University courses.
We would like to congratulate the students below for achieving the following offers:
– Luke Jones: Medicine offers from UAE, Hull, York, Exeter, and Plymouth
– Emma Woolhouse: Veterinary Science offers from Liverpool and Nottingham
– Annetta Makar: Medicine offers from Birmingham, Bristol, and Nottingham
– Thomas McMillan: Dentistry offer from Liverpool
– Gabby Dos Santos: Medicine offers from Cardiff, Nottingham and Plymouth
– Millie Coton: Medicine offer from Plymouth
– Jacob Bunyan: Medicine offers from Newcastle, Sheffield, and Southampton
– Samantha Ralph: Veterinary Science offer from Surrey (still awaiting a decision from Bristol)

We congratulate all for their incredible achievements and wish them the best of luck in their upcoming examinations and future studies.
