RGS Equestrian Team are Riding High

This season we have seventeen pupils from across the RGSW Family of Schools registered for the National Schools Equestrian Association and, even throughout lockdown, the pupils had the opportunity to compete in virtual dressage competitions, where they recorded their tests in an arena at home and sent videos off to be judged. 

In the most recent series, the RGS Equestrian team of Daisy Price riding My Monbeg Sundae, Jessica Weston riding Fofsway Royal Blue and Annabelle Wesley riding Skelwith Lady Elenya, were placed amongst over fifty teams from schools across the country. Daisy has also made a good start to the eventing season in the Schools Equestrian Games 80cm One Day Event at Broadway, where, with a double clear, she finished 8th in her section. 

Our newest member to join the Equestrian team; Jemima Shaw had an excellent debut, competing in an Elementary Dressage class at Allen’s Hill and gaining qualification for the NSEA National Dressage Championship. We have individuals and teams entered for numerous events across the region over the coming few weeks and we wish them the best of luck.
