Replica Gun Carriages Gifted to CCF
The RGS Combined Cadet Force has received two fantastic replica gun carriages to use for team leadership. These have been given to the School by Ardingly College CCF, whose contingent is sadly closing. The carriages were made by a very skilled craftsman who works there called Nick Marchant, who has a keen interest in all things from the Second World War, having previously built and restored an American Jeep. Nick was able to copy the replica carriages from those still used in the armed forces and was keen to see the carriages still used for their intended purposes: those of leadership and challenge.
Whilst the challenge we will present our cadets will not be as arduous, we hope the activity will bring their comradery and resilience to the forefront.
