Netball Talent Shines with ‘Severn Stars’ Squad Selection

Congratulations to both Izzy Thompson and Ella Goddard who have been selected to play for the Netball Superleague ‘Severn Stars’ based at the University of Worcester for the 2022-23 season.

Izzy Thompson, who also plays for Hucclecote Netball Club has been selected to play for the Under 19 Squad playing in multiple midcourt positions, Wing Defence (WD), Wing Attack (WA)  and Centre (C).

Ella Goddard who plays for Ryland Netball Club has been selected to play for the Under 17 Squad playing in the positions Goal Attack (GA) and Wing Attack (WA).

The ‘Severn Stars’ team will play 9 home games at the University of Worcester Arena with their next fixture set for Saturday 21 January.

Head of Netball, Miss Ellie Gibbons commented “I am incredibly proud of both Izzy and Ella for their ‘Severn Stars’ selection. It is a tremendous achievement, of which they should be incredibly proud. I am very much looking forward to seeing how they progress and to support them with their Netball development”.
