National Schools Netball Competition Success

It has been a busy time for the RGS Netball players who have enjoyed taking part in tournaments across the County and playing highly competitive Netball. 

The RGS Under 12 Netball team had a brilliant time last week at the local Worcestershire City Netball Tournament. The girls finished the afternoon undefeated due to a fantastic squad effort, with a special mention to Lilianna Sprigg for her outstanding shooting across the entire competition.

Very well done to our Senior 1st Netball Team who played in the County Round of the National Schools Competition last Thursday at Bromsgrove School. There was an impressive display of Netball throughout the afternoon, which saw the RGS team progress to the semi-final. In a thrilling game against King’s School, the girls secured a win in extra time which will now see them progress to the Regional Finals. This prestigious competition is one of the biggest, and most hotly contested Netball competitions in England.

I am incredibly proud of all the players. I look forward to building on our performances and we are all excited to see what this group of players can go on to achieve in the full Netball season next term.
