Lest We Forget
The annual Remembrance Day Service took place on Friday 11 November with a service which gave pupils and staff the opportunity to honour and pay respect to those who gave their lives in the two World Wars and other conflicts.
A commemorative Remembrance film was broadcast at the service in Perrins Hall and across the School. The Remembrance Service, led by the Headmaster, included a moving performance from the RGS Chamber Choir and the Guard of Honour from the School’s Combined Cadet Force.
Wreaths were laid by the School Captains at the First World War and Second World War memorials in Perrins Hall which commemorate the eighty-three RGS Worcester Alumni who died in the line of duty.
Understanding and cherishing the past is always important at RGS Worcester and the Act of Remembrance provides the opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community from Britain and the Commonwealth. It was also a chance to reflect on the war in Ukraine and hope for peace across the world.
