Indoor Hockey continues
The pandemic has brought many challenges for RGS Sport. It has, however, also provided opportunities and one of these is that a group of senior girls have been able to continue with indoor Hockey training in their Games lessons during the Trinity term.
Over recent weeks, the girls have worked extremely hard to refine their skills and understanding of the indoor game. They have also made the most of having brand new international standard indoor boards in the Tom Savage Sports hall. This week we played a friendly fixture against Malvern College to put the girls’ hard work to the test! With all Covid-19 safety measures in place, we were able to welcome our opposition team to RGS Worcester. Teams played four, ten-minute spells which allowed plenty of time for coaching in between match play. The girls made excellent progress throughout the game and to top it off, 1st XI Captain, Lottie Atkinson played her first Indoor Hockey match as Captain, scoring the only two goals of the game.
