House events get underway
Although it is still the early days of this term, the House Competition is in full swing. As this article is written, Senior Badminton has completed two socially-distanced, Year group bubbled rounds, with Ottley and Whiteladies sharing the spoils for the Sixth Form’s Round 1, and Ottley narrowly taking Round 2 for Year Eleven. What has been a fascinating by-product of the new Badminton structure is that we have a significant increase in participation with up to 24 players playing in each round, with a potential total of 72 players from Year Ten upwards.
This week also sees the start of House Chess for the Juniors, with Miss Gidon and the MFL department running House Petanque next week as part of the European Week of Languages.
We are pleased to see that House Dance is still featuring, although with some updated rules for all events, which are being shared with those taking part.
