Headmaster Pens Article about Lessons of the Past, Present and for the Future

The Headmaster reflected on his experience and that of independent schools during the past year in an article published in this month’s edition of The Independent Schools Magazine.

The article titled, ‘Leadership in crisis: lessons from the past, the present and for the future’, considers the positives to take forward in education from the experience of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a History teacher, Mr Pitt also explores the crisis in the context of times past:

“…the greatest lesson from the past in responding to a crisis is to harness the power of the people. The leaders of the democracies in wartime were able to appeal to people to work together for the greater good. The result was a surge in innovation and increased production.”
