Field Trip Fun
Field Day for Year Seven
On Friday 9 September, pupils from Year Seven enjoyed the opportunity to extend and enrich the curriculum with a Field Day trip, at the end of their first week with RGS. The whole Year group visited Oaker Wood Activity Centre and had fun participating in a variety of activities.
Mr Stuart Davis – Head of Year Seven said, “We had a fantastic day out of school as part of the Year Seven Induction programme. The sun even came out and it was a great opportunity for the pupils to get to know each other better.”
Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions
Last weekend, pupils from Year Ten to the Upper Sixth were divided into their elected groups with pupils participating in Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions and Combined Cadet Force trips. Unfortunately, the RAF visit was cancelled because the RAF personnel were involved in preparations for The Queen’s State Funeral, but the Army and Navy (pictured) sections enjoyed their trips. It was fantastic to see our cadets back out training. The Field Weekends are so important as they provide challenging scenarios for our cadets to show courage and determination.
