Exceptional 2024 Examination Results across A-Level and GCSE

We are incredibly proud to share the outstanding achievements of our pupils. This year’s results reflect the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our pupils, as well as the unwavering support from our dedicated teaching staff and the wider school community. The achievements at both A-Level and GCSE are a testament to the academic excellence that RGS Worcester continues to uphold.

Sixth Form Results

Students enjoyed a wonderful Results Day at RGS Worcester celebrating their Public Examination results. We were delighted to see our Upper Sixth group achieving their offers for Universities and other courses, after superb results in their A Levels, BTECs, CTECs and EPQs.

Students achieved the School’s best ever A Level, CTEC, BTEC results by students who sat exams with over 90% of A Levels at Grades A* to B

Two thirds of Grades were at A*- A for A Levels/BTEC/CTEC combined

The most common Grade was an A, with 11 students gaining straight A* Grades

In the BTEC/CTECs on offer, 94% of all Grades were the top Distinction* or Distinction

These outstanding results meant that over 95% of students achieved a place at their first-choice University / Apprenticeship place

Pupil Stories

RGS Worcester’s School Captains celebrated outstanding achievements in their A Levels.

John Pitt, Headmaster, commented,

“We have real reason to celebrate at RGS Worcester. Our students have achieved a truly superb set of results. Building on strong results last year, the results have leapt again and our pupils have achieved their University places and their Apprenticeship courses. These are our best ever A Level and BTEC results by pupils who sat exams and we are absolutely delighted. Many congratulations to the pupils who have worked so hard and to our teachers and support staff for their dedication and commitment. Thank you also to the parents for supporting RGS. Well done, everyone!”

“Congratulations to our Upper Sixth on their exceptional results. These achievements are a testament to their hard work, the excellent teaching they have received, and the dedicated pastoral support in the Sixth Form at RGS. We pride ourselves on nurturing each student as an individual, ensuring they have the best opportunities to succeed and be future-ready. I am incredibly proud of all they have accomplished academically and beyond the classroom. I am confident that they are ready to continue shaping a remarkable future for themselves.”

RGS Worcester Year Eleven pupils celebrated outstanding achievements in their GCSEs.

John Pitt, Headmaster, commented,

“I am so pleased for our Year Eleven pupils that they have performed so well and set themselves up for the Sixth Form. We were delighted with our GCSE results last year, but this Year group has set the bar even higher and are also our largest ever Year Eleven cohort. Many congratulations to them and to their parents. Well done to our teachers who have guided them so successfully with their expertise and passion for their subjects.”
