Dreaming of Disney

Mia Fletcher, Lower Sixth, tells us of her life long dream trip to dance at Disneyland:

“In March I travelled to Paris to take part in an IFDPA Dance event. This was an international competition and I took part in two dances, firstly the ‘Disney Themed Contemporary’ within which we won ‘Best Choreographed Story Telling’ and the other being the ‘Senior Intermediate Hip Hop/Street Dance’ category in which we placed First. My solo performance was accompanied by a varied selection of music, put together by another Lower Sixth pupil, Heini Hughes, a very talented musician. This trip fulfilled my lifelong dream as it allowed me to dance down the main street in Disneyland in the pre-parade. Having dreamed of Dancing at Disney from when I first began dancing at the age of two, fifteen years ago, this trip was a lifetime highlight I will never forget.”
