Dinosaurs to Contemporary Art in Oxford
In preparation for their GCSE Art examinations, Year Eleven artists visited the city of Oxford to gain inspiration for their forthcoming assessment. The pupils took the opportunity to study, sketch and photograph everything from dinosaurs to contemporary art as their sources of inspiration.
The Year Eleven Artists explored the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology, The Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum. Their visit also included a tour of the city of Oxford, taking in highlights such as the Sheldonian Theatre, the Bridge of Sighs and some of the many dreaming spires.
Head of Art, Mrs Jo Hunt, commented, “We look forward to seeing how our aspiring artists develop their creative ideas from such varied stimuli”.
Good luck to our budding Artists! We wish you every success in your preparations for the forthcoming GCSE examination.
