Combined Cadet Force is Back in Action
Last Tuesday saw the resumption of face-to-face instruction for the Combined Cadet Force. The energy and enthusiasm of the returning cadets demonstrated their grit, adaptability, initiative and tenacity and dispelling to me the perpetuating myth that children today have little or no resilience.
The three Sections re-started their training: the RAF with principles of flight and recapping syllabus material from the start of the year. The Army revisited skills-at-arms training and cooking in the field, and the Royal Navy developed communication skills and semaphore.
It was great to see the Cadets back in action again and for training to resume in person so they can continue to develop their leadership and teamwork skills.
