Clubs and Activities on Offer at RGS Worcester
At RGS Worcester we have a wide range of clubs and activities on offer for Lower School, Middle School and Sixth Form pupils. Pupils have the choice of over 60 clubs and activities ranging from Astronomy to Wind Band. Clubs and activities are held at lunchtimes and at after-school sessions, allowing pupils to explore new interests, hone their creativity or develop their understanding of existing interests and passions.
Pupils’ creativity is promoted through Textiles Club, Film Maker’s Club, learning the Ukulele or being part of one of our dramatic productions. Pupils can expand on their academic interests through Astronomy Club at our observatory, Book Clubs, Anatomy Club and Computer Coding. As well as all of this, Debating gains ever more popularity and success as an important choice for our pupils and Sixth Form Students.
Pupils can now choose from a range of exciting new clubs added to the programme, including our Journalism Club. This club is exclusive to any Sixth Form students interested in writing journalistic pieces to contribute to a school paper or magazine.
If you have a passion for sustainability and protecting our planet you can now join Mrs Briggs and become a member of the Eco-Club and Eco-Council. The club meets weekly and then Half termly as a full Eco-council. The club provides the opportunity for pupils to share ideas and discover ways in which we can benefit the environment and make and create a variety of eco-friendly products. The club runs throughout lunchtime to ensure all can attend who wish to do so. Eco-Club members have already earned international accreditation for excellent work in making the School more environmentally friendly and raising eco-awareness amongst fellow pupils. RGS Worcester now has a Green Flag Award, a definitive sign that we are committed to changing our habits to become a much more sustainable organisation
If you would like some time out to relax and have some quiet time, pupils can join Mrs Hunt for Mindfulness Art Club, held on Tuesday lunchtime. The club provides a great opportunity to explore and express creativity and chat with like-minded people.
Also on offer are a number of sports-focused clubs such as Fencing Club, Basketball Club, Table Tennis Club and Badminton Club. All are open to pupils in Lower School, Middle School and Sixth Form and provide a great opportunity to keep fit and healthy while meeting new people from across the school and sharing common interests.
We are always looking to expand our range of activities and encourage our pupils to form their own clubs and societies that the School can support. If you would like to see a full list of Clubs and Activities available to pupils at RGS Worcester then you can do so here.
