Celebrating Sport at RGS with the Annual Presentation Evening

Middle and Senior School pupils and parents gathered in the Tom Savage Sports Hall on Tuesday for the annual Sports Presentation Evening. This event is a great way to celebrate Sport at RGS and recognise collective and individual contributions to a successful year in Sport.

During the Awards Ceremony members of the Sports Department celebrated pupils’ Sporting achievements and contribution to Sport at RGS Worcester this year. Awards ranged from ‘All Round Sporting Contribution’ to specific awards for all Sports.  After the awards were presented,  we invited Upper Sixth students and parents to enjoy a catch up and refreshments in Perrins Hall. 

We would like to thank all of the pupils for their hard work and commitment this season at whatever level they have played. 

Major Sports awards were presented to the following:

The Green Way Cup – Ben Whitton 

The Wootten Cup – Elyssia Letori 

The Janet Greene Cup – Ellie Nicholls 

The Reynolds Cup – Benjamin Allen 

The AOOE’s Prize for Sporting Excellence – Alice Atkinson 

The AOOE’s Prize for Sporting Excellence – Loïc Keasey and Alex Houchin 

Thank you also to the coaches and teachers for their time and commitment to supporting Sport at RGS Worcester – without their constant drive and passion for developing Sport, none of our success would be possible. 

We also thanked RGS Academic Admissions Manager and Head of Rounders, Mrs Cia Swingler for her contribution to Sport at RGS. After 18 years Cia is leaving RGS to embark on a new adventure with her family in the United Arab Emirates where she is taking on the role of Director of Sport in an English School.
