‘Batman or Shakespeare?’ Junior LitSoc Enthralls Pupils
The RGS Literary Society, LitSoc, remains a very popular Co-curricular club for our Senior pupils, so much so that Mrs Vincent and Mrs Bond have now introduced Junior LitSoc for Year Nine pupils to enjoy.
The first meeting of Junior LitSoc saw over 60 Year Nine pupils attend the session in the Lecture Theatre. We were incredibly impressed with the enthusiasm and excitement of all the pupils. The session started with a game of ‘Batman or Shakespeare?’, followed by exploring the world of weird and wonderful book covers as well as our potential future roles as book fairies!
During last week’s edition of Junior LitSoc, pupils worked in teams to play ‘The Big Quiz’, with rounds including Mrs Bond’s infamous ‘cats in literature’ questions, followed by Mrs Vincent’s ‘books to film’ round.
We are delighted that so many pupils want to join the ever-growing LitSoc family and we look forward to welcoming their eager minds and smiling faces each week.
