Artificial Intelligence at its finest!

September 2020 has seen many changes at RGSW, most of them COVID-19 related. However, away from the face masks and the one-way systems, something else has been instigated. This academic year marks the first time we have used Artificial Intelligence at RGS Worcester. Don’t worry, this does not mean The Terminator has started teaching History. Instead, the English, Maths and Science departments have embarked on an exciting journey using the Century Tech AI platform.

The technology works when pupils complete a number of initial diagnostic tests that ascertain exactly where they are with their understanding and knowledge in a given subject area. The technology then analyses their results and, based on their answers, is able to determine individual personalised learning pathways that help pupils to target specific areas for improvement, address misconceptions whilst supporting teacher interventions.

We are currently trialling the software with specific classes and Year groups but hope to roll out the platform across the School in the not too distant future. Watch this (cyber) space…!
