A Taste of the Action at the Sports Taster Morning
Last weekend, we warmly welcomed Year Six pupils from a number of local schools to our Sports Taster Morning.
The Taster Morning was a great opportunity for external pupils to sample the broad range of Sporting opportunities we offer at RGS Worcester and we were proud to showcase the excellent facilities we are fortunate to have for our pupils. From bleep tests to fitness challenges, pupils had a fun-filled morning getting active and refining their skills!
The Taster Morning began with an introduction from Director of Sport, Mr Keith Fowles. He highlighted RGS Worcester’s sporting ethos: to ensure each and every pupil is fulfilling their sporting potential, as well as the RGS Charter for Sport which encourages all pupils to embrace the values of being ‘Resilient, Gracious, Selfless and Willing’ and to be proud of ‘Being Green’, the RGS colour.
It was a wonderful morning enjoyed by all who attended, and we extend our thanks to all the families who joined us for sharing their enthusiasm for Sports and contributing to the success of the event.
The Taster Morning followed an equally successful Taster Session for pupils from RGS The Grange and RGS Springfield, which was held on Friday. This was one of many planned events to help our Year Six pupils transition smoothly into the Senior School. The girls honed their Hockey and Netball skills in the Sports Hall, while the boys practised Football and Rugby at Flagge Meadow.
