RGS Dodderhill Appoints New Head

The RGS Worcester Family of Schools is delighted to announce the appointment of Amy Page as the new Head of RGS Dodderhill. Amy brings extensive leadership experience from her role as Deputy Headteacher at both Ridgeway Secondary School and Studley High School, where she first began her teaching career.

Amy was specifically asked to join Ridgeway to address identified weaknesses in the school and has been credited with driving significant improvements. Her reputation within the Multi Academy Trust (MAT) is outstanding, and she impressed the interview panel at every stage of RGS Dodderhill’s thorough recruitment process.

Out of nearly 40 applicants, 10 were long-listed for interviews, with 4 shortlisted for final in-depth discussions. Amy was unanimously selected by the Governor recruitment panel, which included long-standing Dodderhill Governor, Mrs Katie Wormington.

“I am absolutely delighted to be taking on my Headship at RGS Dodderhill and excited to be part of the next stage of this wonderful school’s journey,” Amy commented. “Over the past few weeks, it has been a pleasure meeting the dedicated staff, enthusiastic pupils, and supportive Governors who make RGS Dodderhill so special, and I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome I’ve received, particularly from Mr Banyard, whose kindness and commitment to the School are truly inspiring.

From my very first moment here, I felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and genuine connection, reflecting the strong bonds and collaborative spirit that define this community. As I step into this role, I am inspired by the deep sense of belonging that permeates RGS Dodderhill and I am committed to nurturing an environment where every individual feels valued and supported to achieve their very best. I am also thrilled to join The RGS Worcester Family of Schools, and I look forward to upholding RGS Dodderhill’s traditions while embracing new opportunities for growth and development.”
