Swimming Team Shines at Invitational Gala

The RGS Swimming team made a strong impression at the Bromsgrove School Invitational Swimming Gala, held last Thursday, at Perdiswell Leisure Centre. RGS fielded teams across various age categories, delivering an outstanding performance against tough competition.

The Under 15 Boys’ and Under 18 Girls’ teams showcased their skill and determination, successfully making it through the qualification rounds to reach the Medley final. Their hard work and teamwork were evident as they competed fiercely against other top schools.

The Under 15 Girls’ team continued their impressive form this academic year following their recent success at the ESSA National Finals. They claimed a Gold medal in the Medley Relay final, demonstrating their determination and talent. In the Freestyle Relay final, they put up a valiant effort but were narrowly edged out by a strong Newcastle-Under-Lyme team, securing a commendable second place finish.

The competition highlighted the dedication and training of all RGS swimmers, with each team member contributing to the School’s overall success. Congratulations to all the swimmers for their hard work and achievements!

A number of our swimmers represented their clubs at the recent County Championships and Mr Davis would welcome news of all the successes. Please do share results and any regional qualifications.
