Tech, Talent, and Teamwork on Show at BETT 2025
Pupils and teachers from The RGS Worcester Family of Schools, including RGS Worcester, RGS Springfield, RGS The Grange, and RGS Dodderhill, proudly represented their schools at the world-renowned BETT Show in the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London last Friday. Marking its 40th anniversary, the BETT Show is a global hub for educational technology, attracting over 30,000 visitors annually, including educators, industry leaders, and innovators.
A group of 40 pupils from across our schools attended the event, exploring the latest advancements in educational technology. The show offered hands-on experiences with cutting-edge tools, such as virtual reality headsets, interactive room displays, robotics, and AI-powered learning platforms. Pupils also had the chance to test their e-sports skills, aligning with the recent launch of RGS Worcester’s competitive e-sports club.
In the afternoon, pupils took to the stage, delivering an inspiring presentation to a packed audience. Pupils showcased their understanding of AI, its benefits and the challenges surrounding it. In addition, Ridhima Canchi was invited to present on her own on the Goodnotes stand, showing how she uses the app and its AI features to help with her learning. The presentation skills from RGS Worcester pupils were hugely impressive and all involved should be extremely proud.
Director of Innovation at The RGS Worcester Family of Schools, Mr John Jones, joined Showbie’s Abdul Chohan for a presentation on the ‘Tech in Action’ stage. Together, they explored practical strategies for crafting a successful digital strategy. Speaking about the importance of technology in education, Mr Jones said, “At RGS Worcester, we focus on technology as a tool to enhance teaching and learning, not as an added layer of complexity. By prioritising pedagogy and leveraging meaningful digital tools, we ensure our pupils are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future.”
The BETT Show is the world’s largest educational technology event, providing the pupils with valuable insights and inspiration. Their participation highlighted the school’s commitment to preparing pupils to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
This enriching experience will undoubtedly have an influence as we continue to integrate innovative practices into the curriculum. With hundreds of exhibitors, the BETT Show 2025 served as a reminder of the vast opportunities technology offers in shaping the future of education—a vision that RGS is proud to embrace.
