Cross-Country Season Up and Running
RGS teams have competed in the first two Cross-Country events of the year in recent weeks. Firstly, the Under 13 teams went to Winterfold School in the early Autumn sunshine and put in impressive team performances, with both the boys’ and girls’ teams coming 3rd, gaining valuable experience from what was the first time representing RGS Worcester for many.
This was closely followed by the start of the ESAA cross-country cup competition, held once more at Bromsgrove School. There were excellent results across the age groups, with Lower Sixth student Jack Price winning the Senior Boys’ race, closely followed by Upper Sixth student Dylan Teasdale in 3rd place. In the Intermediate Girls’ race, Year Ten pupil Lexi Agoston finished in a strong second place, whilst Year Seven pupil Ben Bean led the Junior Boys’ team home, achieving a 3rd place finish. Overall, both the Intermediate Boys’ and Intermediate Girls’ teams finished in 2nd place, qualifying for the regional final after Half term. Well done to all involved!
