RGS Ranked as Top Co-Educational School in the West Midlands
RGS Worcester is celebrating a remarkable achievement, having been ranked by The Daily Telegraph as the top Co-educational Independent Day School in the West Midlands. This recognition comes alongside the exciting news that we have also been named as a Finalist in the prestigious Independent School of the Year Awards.
These accolades follow the School’s exceptional academic performance, with students achieving the best A Level and BTEC results in the School’s history. Over 90% of A Level grades were between A* to B, reflecting the dedication and hard work of both pupils and staff. To be ranked top in the region is a fantastic achievement for a school with such a rich history, being the sixth oldest in the world.
The Worcester News featured RGS Worcester’s success this week in an article titled ‘Top of the Regional Tree’.
RGS Worcester’s success is not just limited to the Senior School. The entire RGS Worcester Family of Schools has been recognised as a Finalist in the Independent School of the Year Awards, showcasing the strength and quality of education across all four RGS Schools.
This exciting news comes as Headmaster Mr John Pitt completed his tenth year leading the School. As he reflects on a decade of growth and success, Mr Pitt shared, “The last ten years have flown by. I have really enjoyed seeing the pupils seize the opportunities at RGS and achieve amazing things in so many areas: Academic, Drama, Music, Sport, Debating – the list goes on, and I am so proud of them. I am hugely appreciative of the hard work and commitment of the staff; they are superb. My family and I are also very grateful for the encouragement and support of parents and alumni. When I started ten years ago, I thought RGS had incredible potential in all areas. It is lovely to see that potential being realised, and there is always more we can do.”
From being named one of the Top 20 Nursery Groups in the UK by Daynurseries to the incredible academic success of Sixth Form students, The RGS Worcester Family of Schools continues to excel across all areas of education.
