A Memorable South African Rugby Tour
Our Under 18 and Under 16 Rugby teams embarked on an unforgettable Senior Rugby Tour to South Africa over the summer, where they played three exciting matches against local teams. Each game was followed by a traditional South African braai, providing an opportunity for the teams to get to know their opponents.
The Tour also included meaningful community engagement. Pupils visited Kayamandi Township, where they contributed books to the local library. They also participated in an outreach morning with the ‘Be The Difference Foundation,’ preparing meals for the community and enjoying games with primary school children.
Highlights of the trip extended beyond Rugby. Pupils experienced a thrilling surf lesson, visited Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony, took a trip to Seal Island, and enjoyed a scenic drive over Chapman’s Peak. The journey culminated in a visit to Cape of Good Hope’s Nature Reserve and the Cape Point viewing point.
The adventure concluded with two exhilarating game drives, offering the pupils the chance to see the ‘Big 5’ in their natural habitat.
